Crystal Vision Bridal Gala

 

Last week was spent in gloriously hectic preparation for the bridal show, Crystal Vision Bridal Gala, in Fontana, California.  Since we primarily serve San Diego and Orange County, it was quite a trek for us all the way up to Fontana.  Many brides from that area have held their weddings in Orange County, so since we’ve had such delightful clients from San Bernadino County, we decided to make the journey inland for this show.  We knew Fontana was far, but as soon as we saw actual SNOW on the mountain tops, we knew weren’t on the coast anymore!

The Sierra Lakes Golf Club hosted the event and was gracious enough to serve the guests champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, among other delectable treats.  We made sure to get plenty of both!

Bridal Shows are such a fun way to let my creativity soar, creating any design I dream up, without regards to budget, time, or anyone else’s opinion.  For this show, we used our company logo (designed by graphic designer and photographer, Tad Krehbiel) as our inspiration.  Every shade imaginable of pink and purple flowers filled our dazzling bouquet, accented with enormous ostrich feathers.  Bright pink linens cheered up the dark, purple striped overlay.  Clear, glass chargers with gold beads rimming the edge added a fanciful element to the luxury, gold gilded china.  The purple napkins were anchored with whimsical butterflies, one of the hottest trends in weddings coming this summer.  The butterflies reappeared on the sides of the table where they held scallops of the overlay in place. 

Feathers are another hot trend that just keep picking up in popularity.  Although I am just head over heels for peacock feathers, fluffy ostrich feathers gave this tablescape the perfect whimsical touch instead.  Hot pink seat covers set the background for the chair backs, which had a large, white, ostrich feather, anchored by three pale pink roses, tied off with shimmery, purple, organza.  Pearls and diamonds were sprinkled around the center piece to finish off the fairytale look.

We talked to so many amazing brides and booked a number of weddings for 2010 and 2011!

Congratulations to Cathy, who won the raffle for the “Enchanting Moments” package, a $980 value, for just $100!  (Yeah, I can hardly believe we gave it away either!)

We also held a drawing for $500 off any package, and gave it away to three lucky winners.  Perhaps it was all the love in the air, but we ended up giving three more winners $200 off any wedding package.  I guess it was just too hard to throw all those hopeful candidate’s entry cards away!

Thanks so much to Sammi Stafford, our part time design consultant, for helping to set up our booth.  It was Taylor’s first ever bridal show and she couldn’t have been a bigger help.  The show was a great success and we all had a blast!  I can’t wait for the next one.
